"I was lucky enough to have been introduced to Cherish Senior Care Home when I was searching for a place for my mom who has Alzheimers’s Dementia. The owners, Lani & Brian, along with their friendly staff, take excellent care of their residents & treat them like they are family. As a nurse, this was very important to me to find people to care for my mom the same way I cared for her at home myself. However, as her dementia, progressed, my family & I could no longer care for her as good as we would have wanted to. Lani allows for open communication & continuously updates me of any changes with my mom either by phone or text. "I was a resident in Cherish Senior Care for 3 years while I recovered from a stroke.   The staff knew my goal was to get my strength and mobility back and  personalized my care to make that happen. It’s a lovely home with an inviting atrium in the center and wood deck that runs alongside the bedrooms.  Both are comfortable places to visit with your guests or other residents.The owners and staff take great care to make cleanliness a top priority.  There are none of the unpleasant odors that sometimes greet you in other facilities. "I would like to say a few things about Cherish Senior Care Home. My father was a resident of Cherish for more than 3 years.  He came to them suffering from moderate Alzheimer's Disease.  He was able to walk, communicate and participate however he did need a lot of prompting and assistance.  Lani and Brian understood how to care for him.  As my Dads disease progressed he was no longer able to walk, communicate or even feed himself, and staff adapted.  He was always well nourished, always clean and his every need understood.  They made a point of knowing him and what he liked, wanted or needed even if he could not vocalize it.  Above all he was treated with respect and with dignity.  My Dad along with the other residents are treated like family.  They all sit at the table together to eat meals, celebrate birthdays and just hang out.  All holidays are celebrated in a big way and weather permitting, time outside in the fresh air is a usual activity. Socialization is encourage. The staff is incredibly attentive of each residents needs, likes and comfort.  This all done in a way to make sure that our loved ones are safe and healthy. Cherish is truly like an extension of family and home.  Clearly the staff loves the residents, is committed to their well being and cares.  When my Dad passed they mourned too.  Truly it is not just a job to them.  Lani and Brian and family are amazing. Cherish is small (non corporate) and the care is very personal.  I can not say enough about the peace of mind that my sister and I experienced. This was the perfect place for our Dad."
